Ms. Sumitha Achar

Ms. Sumitha Achar has her Post Graduation degree in Statistics from Mangalore University. She has a strong exposure in practical knowledge on various statistical packages such as SPSS, MAT Lab, E-views etc. Ms. Achar adds to her credit the experience of being a resource person for more than 50 workshops, FDPs, MDPs training research scholars, non-statisticians, management faculty members, students on “Research Methodology” and “Hands on SPSS” in analysing statistical data through SPSS package at various institutions in our own city, national and also international. She also trains B-School & Nursing students in soft skills programs imparting practical knowledge on statistical packages to facilitate their project report preparation.

Ms.Achar has passion for research work and has presented about 90 empirical and conceptual research papers in the various areas of management at both National and International Conferences in India and overseas and also published 75 research papers in journals of repute. Besides, she has attended several workshops, FDPs and seminars/conferences.

She adds to her recognition “SEVEN BEST PAPER AWARDS” at the International Conference at RDA International conference at Goa, IMA International conference at Malaysia, SNGCE International conference at Kolenchery (Kerala), RDA International Conference at Jaipur, ARC International conference at Thailand, MIT International a conference at Pune and recently in RDA International Conference at Kochin. She has 12 years of teaching experience at St. Aloysius College and specialises in subjects like Business Statistics, Quantitative Techniques, Bio-statistics, Business Research Methods, and Decision Making Models and currently she holds the designation of Assistant Professor at AIMIT, St. Aloysius College Mangalore. Ms. Achar is presently perusing her PHD from VTU under Dr. M.G Krishnamurthy in JNNCE, Shimoga.
