Dr. Beena Dias

Dr. Beena Dias completed her Masters in Commerce with Finance specialization from Mangalore University, Mangalagangothri in 1998 and the Post Graduate Diploma in Human Resource Management from Karnataka State Open University in 2002 specializing in Human Resource. She later completed her Doctorate in the broad area of Human Resource Development from Mangalore University in 2008.

Dr. Dias has a total of 19 years of Teaching Experience and served as a lecturer in St Philomena College, Puttur and thereafter served as a faculty member in the Department of Commerce at Mangalore University for a period of 5 years. She has been teaching in the department of BBM from 2003 – 2008 at St. Aloysius College (Autonomous) Mangalore and has been lecturing in the Post Graduate Department of Management at AIMIT St. Aloysius College (Autonomous) from 2008 till date. She has been teaching subjects in the areas of Accounting and Finance.

She has presented many papers at National and International Conferences. She has published papers in Human Resource, finance and Marketing. The most recent being on Pragmatic Approach Toward E-Shopping Behavior in the European Journal of Business and Management, and on HR Management in the Indian Journal of Management.

Dr. Dias has been the resource person for programmes on Personal Effectiveness; Leadership Skills and Research Methodology and has attended training programmes on GST and Personal Financial Planning. She has also completed two UGC sponsored Minor Research projects on HRD Competencies and Financial Inclusion.

She has been the Associate Professor at the Post Graduate Department of Business Administration at AIMIT, St. Aloysius College (Autonomous) since 2008 and the member of the Board of Studies of the MBA Department as well as other prestigious institutions in and around the state of Karnataka.
