Dr. Babu Thomas

Dr. Babu Thomas has completed MA in Psychology from Karnataka University, Dharwad and Ph.D from MS University, Baroda in the area of Industrial Psychology. He also holds a Bachelor Degreeof Education (BED) from Karnataka University. He has a distinguished career of 25 years in teaching and research in SIBER Institute of Management and Research, Kolhapur, Maharashtra where he served as Professor and Head of the Department of Human Resource Management. Dr. Babu Thomas has been working as Professor and Dean(Research) at St Aloysius Institute of Management and Information Technology for the last 7 years.

He has successfully guided 35 M Phils and 7 Ph.Ds. He was the editor of the Journal, South Asian Journal of management Research (SAJMR). He was the Chairman of BOS in Human Resource Management and a member of academic council at SIBER Institute of Management and Research, Kolhapur. He was an examiner for different universities for management education. He has published more than a dozen papers in national and international journals. He attended various seminars and workshops both at the national and international level and presented various papers. He has co authored a Book titled ‘High Performing Organisations: Issues and Challenges, a collection of essays”. He has conducted many Executive Development Programmes in the area of Leadership, Creativity, Self awareness and Stress Management. Dr Babu Thomas is also a Ph.D guide for Tumkur University & 5 students are pursuing Ph.D in management discipline under his guidance. He is also a member of Editorial Board for the ‘Journal of Business and Financein Emerging Markets’, published by University of Surabaya, Indonesia.

Dr. Babu Thomas teaches subjects such as Organisational Behaviour, Leadership in Business Organisations, Organisational Change and Development and Training and Development.
