Mrs. Laveena C D’Costa

Mrs.Laveena D’Costa has her Post Graduation degree in Statistics from Mangalore University. She has completed MBA- SYSTEMS studies from Madras University. She has cleared NET in management. She has done her PGDHRM from KSOU. She has 13 years of experience in the field of teaching. She has been a member of the Board of Studies of statistics department, St. Agnes College, Mangalore. She has exposure to various Statistical packages such as SPSS, MAT Lab and R. She is heading the Exam cell. She has published 5 international papers.

She has conducted workshops related to the field of Statistics and has also been resource person for the same. Besides she has attended several workshops, FDP & Seminars. She has a diverse experience in teaching and specializes in papers like Quantitative Techniques, Operations Research, Modeling and simulation, probability & Statistics, numerical techniques & predictive analytics. She is heading the Special interest group Operations Research & Statistics where the students are involved in several consultancy projects in Statistical Data Analysis and Big Data Analysis with various organizations in Mangalore. She was able to guide the students for a college MIS – ETA Module in the Dept. She is effectively using MOODLE the open source platform for ETA, students are been trained and evaluated on this platform for the campus interview process.
