AIMIT campus took out a plantation drive called ‘adopt a tree’ on August 20. Dr (Fr) Melwyn Pinto SJ, Director, AIMIT, emphasised the need to create awareness among people on conservation of trees. “The campus is green and all those who frequent our campus feel happy. We need to only add to this treasure we have and hence we plant these fruit-bearing trees,” he said.

Fr Joy Rodrigues SJ, the campus minister called upon the support staff to plant a tree each and take good care of it, so that they their memories will be left behind.

All support staff planted different varieties of fruit-bearing trees. Maintenance officer, Lancy Pinto co-ordinated the plantation.
